Suite
Sophie is a charming self-contained set of period rooms,
which hark back to the Belle Époque.
The private salon has an original painted ceiling and
is comfortably appointed with a chaise longue, amongst
other seating, painted screen, marble fireplace, a television
with satellite channels and a view of the tranquil garden.
The master bedroom, which also has a painted ceiling,
boasts a superbly comfortable bed, and its windows look
out towards the sea at the front of the house and the
garden at the side. The original claw-footed bath (with
shower over), bidet and washbasin grace the bathroom,
along with its original tiles, and a new hot water system
ensures ample supplies at all times. Plentiful, fluffly,
white towels ensure you emerge from the bathroom refreshed
and pampered. A simple, traditionally-furnished single
bedroom with marble-topped washstand and naive paintings
by the family, completes Suite Sophie.
As with all the beds in the house, the original bed carries
a sumptuous, new mattress and soft, fresh pillows, to
guarantee a blissful night's sleep.
